Ramadan Buffet 2012 at Summit Hotel Subang USJ

Kampung dishes at Summit Hotel Subang USJ
Come and enjoy a Ramadan treat with your family and friends at Oceania Buffet Restaurant in Summit Hotel Subang USJ, which offers a delicious spread of Kampung cuisine to break fast.

Among the special dishes served are succulent barbecued lamb served with black pepper, mint mushroom and garlic sauces, and mustard.

For those who are more adventurous, enjoy its signature sup gearbox. It is accompanied by vegetables such as carrots, celery, cauliflower and broccoli and topped with spicy sambal kicap cili padi, fried onions and a dash of lime juice.

Kari kepala ikan, cooked in a large kawah or wok, is definitely a must-try dish. Thick curry gravy with piping-hot steamed rice make for a delicious meal.

Nyonya food lovers will like the Peranakan taste of asam pedas ekor lembu which blends Chinese and Malay cooking with aromatic ingredients such as turmeric, lemongrass, chillies, galangal and shrimp paste.

Other local favourites served include mee kari, laksa, chicken and beef satay, ayam golek a la percik, murtabak and rojak buah. This extensive spread of popular kampung fare is reminiscent of food lovingly prepared by mothers back home.

From July 27 until Aug 11, Zura the Girls will entertain diners with medleys of traditional songs every day except on Sundays. The hotel has a surau on its fifth level.

The Sajian Selera Kampung buffet is priced at RM75 nett per adult and RM38nett per child (aged 5 to 12). A promotion price of RM55nett per adult and RM25nett per child is available on the last week of Ramadan. Early reservations are recommended.
